Rose ShuriMatoh Dick was born on September 2, 1958, in Mankon Bamenda, in the Northwest region of Cameroon to Pa Dick Chi Ndikum and Mami Helen Ngwe Dick. Rose was the second of Pa Dick's children.

Rose attended RCM (Roman Catholic Mission) Girls School Big Mankon in Bamenda and graduated in 1970 with a First School Leaving Certificate. After completing her primary education, she attended Our Lady of Lourdes College in Mankon Bamenda, graduating in 1975 with a Diploma. She continued her education at Government High School in Nkambe, earning another Diploma in Arts and Science in 1977.

In 1977, Rose joined the Ministry of finance under the National Lottery of Cameroon. The dissolution of the National Lottery establishment awakened her entrepreneurial attributes leading to the opening of her hair salon in 1989 in Nkwen Bamenda. “Our Lady Salon," was created in honor of her former Secondary School.
In 1980, Rose got married and was blessed with four beautiful children and later, seven beautiful grandchildren.
In 1994, Rose relocated to Douala, Littoral region, where she established a restaurant and catering services called Njang Restaurant. Njang restaurant earned her the nickname "Mami Njang."
In 2010, she embraced a new challenge, moving out of the country to Pointe Noire in the Republic of Congo, where she opened another successful restaurant and catering services. She was one of the best chefs in both countries, catering to dignitaries and Ministers.

In 2017, she returned to Cameroon for a few months and then relocated to the United States of America, State of Maryland in 2018. Rose worked with Lifeline Health Care Service for about three years. She was a dedicated health worker, earning respect from both colleagues and patients. In early 2023, Rose had a surgical operation, and was given six weeks of sick leave; she returned to work by the fourth week, showcasing her dedication to her work and patience.
Rose was known for her vibrant personality, being a part of various social groups. Her fun, outgoing, and friendly nature endeared her to many. She always went above and beyond to help friends and family members, ensuring they were together during challenging times. Rose had a heart of gold and was family-oriented.

On January 15, 2024 Rose succumbed to complications from her prior surgery; the gates of heaven opened, and the angels welcomed our beloved sister, mother, auntie, and friend.

Rose, you will be sorely and dearly missed. You are gone but not forgotten your legacy will live forever.
